Facilities

Accomodation
We are in the process of modernising and upgrading our pens.
We currently have a mix of single and multi occupancy pens and are licenced to house up to 23 cats.
Each pen is housed within a secure building.
Most pens have windows overlooking the gardens where there is an abundance of wild life.
Pens are individually heated and in addition each cat basket is supplied with an electric heat pad.
We supply a selection of standard cat foods (wet and dry) within the daily rate. Should your pet require specialist food you will be required to provide sufficient for the duration of their stay with us. There will be no reduction in daily rates if you supply your own food.
A dedicated kitchen/washing area is used for all cattery cleaning purposes and preparation of food. The area is fitted with sinks, a fridge/freezer, washing machine and tumble dryer.
A separate isolation block is set aside in the event we had need to isolate a cat through illness.

Security
Each pen is secured individually.
Each block can be secured/locked.
We have security lighting around the property and pens.
With the family living on site we also have constant eyes and ears on the premises.
The pens are visited throughout the day from early morning into the late evening, and sometimes through the night.
DEFRA recently introduced the ANIMAL WELFARE (LICENSING OF ACTIVITIES INVOLVING ANIMALS)(ENGLAND) REGULATIONS 2018 which now allow the premises to be unoccupied with no human presence on site between the hours of 1800 and 0800 providing a keyholder is available to attend within 30 minutes.
We sincerely believe that this is not in the best interest of animal welfare or security. In order to maintain site security and provide the level of service we believe our customers require and deserve we will continue to have a 24/7 on site presence.
